The Corporate Communication Research Group is one of the participants in the The European Communication Monitor (ECM) research project. The ECM is the largest transnational study on strategic communication and public relations worldwide. It has been conducted annually since 2007 with more than 2,200 participating communication professionals from 40+ countries in the last editions.

The study is run by a network of research universities and organised by the European Public Relations Education and Research Association (EUPRERA) and the European Association of Communication Directors (EACD), supported by Prime Research International. The research is led by the University of Leipzig. Other participants in the research team are the Leeds Beckett University (United Kingdom), the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) and the University Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid (Spain).
