Irina Lock, PhD, is assistant professor of corporate communication at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR) at the University of Amsterdam. Her research interests cover digital corporate communication, corporate social responsibility (CSR) communication, and public affairs and lobbying. Irina has published on questions of credibility in corporate communication and the issue of ethics in public affairs and lobbying. For that matter, she is member of the European EUPRERA  network of public affairs researchers.

Her current research is concerned with the impact of digitalization on the communication of companies and the consequences for various (digital) stakeholders.

Prior to her appointment, she worked as a postdoc researcher at the Università della Svizzera italiana, Lugano, Switzerland, where she also obtained her PhD with a thesis on “Credibility in CSR Communication. Concepts, Methods, Analyses.” The thesis won the best PhD prize 2014/15 of the Faculty of Communication Sciences.

Irina offers the elective CSR communication in the Master of Corporate Communication and teaches in the Bachelor Communication Science.
