Sandra Jacobs is an assistant professor in Corporate Communication at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR) of the University of Amsterdam. She graduated in Comparative Politics at Radboud University Nijmegen (MSc) and in Governance and Policy (MA) at Utrecht University. Sandra holds a PhD from the Utrecht School of Governance (USBO) of Utrecht University. In her PhD thesis she analysed media attention for public sector organizations after incidents and its consequences for organizational accountability and policy.

Her current research focuses on the interaction between public organizations and the media, strategic communication of governmental organizations, and media impact on employees. She teaches courses in corporate communication, organizations and media on the bachelor’s and master’s level.
