We have the pleasure to welcome a new member to our team this summer. Take a look at his short introduction and join us in wishing him success at University of Amsterdam!
Scott has been studying corporate communication since he began his academic career at DePaul University in Chicago nearly ten years ago. While completing his Bachelor in Communication Studies and Master in Organizational & Multicultural Communication at DePaul, he spent several years working in the field of corporate training and development before moving to Santa Barbara to pursue his PhD in Communication at the University of California. Scott’s research focuses on how digital technologies are reshaping organizational communication practices and the boundaries between private, corporate, and public life. His current research projects examine the affordances, uses, and implications of public social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) for navigating work/life boundaries, maintaining information privacy, managing corporate stakeholder relations, and communicating corporate social responsibility. Scott joined the Corporate Communication program group at ASCoR as an Assistant Professor in August 2017.
