Joost Verhoeven is an assistant professor in corporate communication at ASCoR. He obtained a PhD in Service Marketing at the University of Twente. In his current work, he explores employee communication about work-related issue. In particular, he studies brand-promoting (online) behaviors, self-censorship, employee voice, issue-specific communication, and crisis communication. He published in Public Relation Review, Journal of Business Research, Corporate Communications: An International Journal, Computers in Human Behavior, and International Journal of Strategic Communication.
He is teaching the master elective ‘Organizational Behavior and Communication’ and coordinates and teaches the corporate communication introductory course in the bachelor phase. In addition, he is the chairman of the Bachelor Thesis Quality Committee and a member of the Board of Studies.
